Who we are
The Toasted Group of Companies (Pty) Ltd (reg. no. 2026/110642/07), trading as Lowveld Power Transmission, Mbombela, is the responsible party for the personal information described here. What we collect
- Business contact details: name, job title, company, phone, WhatsApp number, email address and town.
- What you ask for: quote requests, orders, photos of parts and machines, delivery details.
- For trade accounts: the information on the credit application, including company registration and VAT numbers, trade references and banking details.
We collect this from you directly, from your business, or from public business sources such as company websites and business directories.
Why we use it
- To answer requests, prepare quotes, supply and deliver goods, and provide support.
- To open and manage trade accounts, invoice, collect payment and keep tax and accounting records.
- To tell business customers and prospects about products and services relevant to their business. You can opt out at any time and we will stop.
We rely on your consent, on what is needed to carry out an order or contract, on our legal obligations, and on our legitimate interest in running and growing a business-to-business supply business.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal information. We share it only as needed with our supplier (to fulfil orders), couriers, our bank, our accountant and auditors, and authorities when the law requires it.
Information sent outside South Africa
WhatsApp, email and cloud office services we use may store information on servers outside South Africa. We use well-known providers that protect personal information to a standard comparable to POPIA. Orders delivered outside South Africa are shared with the people needed to deliver them.
This website
This website does not use tracking cookies or analytics, and the quote form does not store anything: it opens WhatsApp or your email app with your message. The page loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google's servers.
How long we keep it
Records of sales, invoices and accounts are kept for at least 5 years, as tax law requires. Enquiries that do not lead to business are deleted after 2 years.
Your rights
- Ask what personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it.
- Object to us using it, including for marketing: reply "no thanks" or "stop" to any message and we will not contact you again.
- Complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa): inforegulator.org.za.
Security
We keep records on password-protected devices and accounts and limit access to people who need it. If a breach affects your information, we will tell you and the Information Regulator as POPIA requires.
